What changed, release by release.
Every release is a new, immutable CloudFormation template. Update the Hub from its About page, or update its stack with the new release's template and keep your parameter values. The newest release is always announced in latest.json(opens in a new tab).
[ A ] ALL RELEASES, NEWEST FIRST
- Notes and how to update →for 0.1.0-rc.12
A sign-in page in the Hub's own style, and a Stay informed section for Cloud Certainty product updates and newsletter emails.
- The Amazon Cognito sign-in page now looks like the Hub: its colours, square edges, the Cloud Certainty Hub logo and favicon, light or dark to match your system. You see it with Cognito sign-in (CognitoOnly); with IAM Identity Center, SAML or OIDC the Hub still goes straight to your identity provider.
- Stay informed: administrators on the About page, and other users on the screen that tells them they are not an administrator, can subscribe to product updates (release and security notices), the newsletter, or both. Your browser sends only the address you type, the topics and the Hub version, and only when you choose Subscribe. A confirmation email follows, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Notes and how to update →for 0.1.0-rc.11
Update reminders by email (when a release appears, then after 1, 3, 7 and 30 days), the update page waits for the new web app before it reloads, and release candidates compare correctly (rc.10 is newer than rc.9).
- Update reminders: the new parameters UpdateReminders (Enabled by default) and UpdateNotificationEmail, and the UpdateTopicArn output, which more subscribers such as AWS Chatbot can use. In Terraform: update_reminders, update_notification_email and update_topic_arn.
- A Hub on 0.1.0-rc.8, rc.9 or rc.10 does not offer this release on its About page, because those releases compare release candidates as text. Update it once with the console, the AWS CLI or Terraform. From rc.11 on, the About page offers every newer release.
- Notes and how to update →for 0.1.0-rc.10
Update reminders by email and an update page that waits for the new web app. Superseded by 0.1.0-rc.11: it compared release candidates as text, so it would not offer rc.11 as an update; install rc.11 instead.
- Notes and how to update →for 0.1.0-rc.9
The Hub can update itself, shows your AWS Organization on the IAM Identity Center page, and spots products that are already installed.
- The About page updates the Hub, as since 0.1.0-rc.8: Review update creates a change set on the Hub’s own stack, Update the Hub runs it, and the page reloads when the new version answers. A Hub installed with Terraform is updated with Terraform instead.
- The IAM Identity Center page shows the AWS Organization the account belongs to and its management account. In the management account, it explains how to enable IAM Identity Center in the console.
- Products installed before the Hub, or outside it, are found and listed. Installing one again warns that it creates a second, separate installation.
The Hub shows the latest release on its About page and can update itself from there. See updating the Hub and update reminders.
