[ P10 ] RELEASE NOTES ·
Hub 0.1.0-rc.15
Available
The Hub can adopt product stacks that were installed before it, or without it, and then update and delete them like its own.
- An external stack’s page offers Adopt into the Hub. Adopting is a change set you review: it keeps the stack’s template, settings and data, and adds the Hub’s tags.
- New parameter Other stacks the hub may adopt (AdoptableStacks; Terraform adoptable_stacks), empty by default: the stack names, not starting with cc-, that the Hub may adopt. IAM allows the Hub on those names too, so only someone who can update the Hub’s stack can widen what it may change.
- Updates keep a stack’s own tags.
- See Adopting existing stacks in the docs.
[ A ] HOW TO INSTALL OR UPDATE TO 0.1.0-rc.15
From the Hub: open About, choose Review update, check the change set and choose Update the Hub. The page reloads when the new version answers. A Hub installed with Terraform is updated with Terraform instead.
TEMPLATE URL
https://cloudcertainty-hub-us-east-1.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/0.1.0-rc.15/main.yaml- In the CloudFormation console, select the Hub's stack, choose Update and replace the current template with the template URL above.
- Keep the current value of every parameter. New parameters take their defaults.
- Acknowledge the IAM capabilities and submit.
With Terraform, set hub_version = "0.1.0-rc.15" and apply. For a new installation,
create a stack with the same URL: it works in every Region. The update guide has the AWS CLI commands.
